Absolutely the worst service ever. My local credit union uses these scammers. Have tried several dishonest tricks to try to collect extra fees . Very unprofessional company with rude and disrespectful staff.
Loan was given to them to service from my local credit union. ALL of my mortgage acceptance papers never stated anything about the inability to make weekly payments. On the DAY of settlement Midwest added a small box stating they do not accept partial payments (keep in mind I had already committed to this loan without being told this information, and had signed 2 other sets of mortgage paperwork and estimates without the partial payment box present) . After speaking to representatives @ midwest, I was told that is their policy and too bad they dont accept partial payments, there is nothing I can do about it. So now I have the option of refinancing to a legitimate mortgage company who isnt shady like this Servicing company, who I didnt even CHOOSE to use, OR I can opt into their "Bi Weekly" plan, which they do allow. Well I inquire about this biweekly plan, and they want to charge a setup fee of $75 to do so!!!! This place is a joke, I would've NEVER committed to this mortgage had I known this company would be servicing it. I have an excellent credit score and would've had no problem using another company to acquire my home.
This company is terrible. I do not recommend them at all.
Unprofessional, rude, and ignorant. Any reviews here above one star are paid shills. This fly by night operation is somehow contracted by our local credit union to handle their mortgages. We would have done our due diligence and researched Midwest had we not expected the same quality service we usually get from Clearview Federal Credit Union. After our realtor, their attorney, and another mortgage company fought to challenge Midwest's unethical practices for a week we switched to Union Home Mortgage's Allegheny branch in White Oak PA. . In the end we had to pay for another appraisal, extra fees, and another .4% in interest. All for the better since we found a more respectful firm to work with. Thank you Keith Wright.
